As computers have become more integrated into the process environment, more data is requested by engineering and management to allow for evaluation of process data to improve control and to plan maintenance and outage schedules. To achieve this objective, Three I Engineering offers services to install data collection stations and evaluation products. These products could be anything from a single data logging station dumping data to a computer with a Microsoft Access interface to the data to a full network utilizing a SQL server collecting data from multiple computers and PLCs and sharing the data over a local intranet or over the World Wide Web. Tolls, like statistical process control (SPC), can then be used to provide online or offline process control. Custom applications are available on a variety of levels from macros in applications such as access to compiled programs in Visual Basic or visual C++.
