Position:  Civil Engineering Management and Design

Three I Engineering, Inc is seeking a Civil Engineer and Land Surveyor with a minimum of 10 years experience with managing personnel, directing and monitoring development of civil site design projects and boundary location projects. The work will require a person with strong written and verbal communication skills that is proficient in procuring and developing client contact and managing of projects in all phases of development including bid preparation, concept design, construction design documentation preparation and final construction completion and project closeout. Position:  Professional Surveyor

Three I Engineering, Inc is seeking a Professional Surveyor with a minimum of 5 years experience with managing boundary surveying projects. The work will require a person with strong written and verbal communication skills that is proficient in procuring and developing client contact and managing of projects in all phases of boundary development from field data collection to final plats. Position:  Electrical Engineer for Industrial Clients

Education

BS in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology

Experience

Minimum of 3 years experience in consulting engineering

Salary

Negotiable and commensurate with applicable experience

Responsibilities

The applicant should possess the ability to assist a client in identifying or further defining a problem with a process or piece of equipment and conceptualize multiple solutions to then be presented to the client. The successful applicant should be able to put into practice the desired solution through a concisely engineered project package.

The ability to work within a project team as well as direct the work of others is necessary.

Successful applicant must be able to demonstrate acquired skills in the following areas:

  • Engineering experience in an industrial environment is required
  • Consulting engineering experience is very much desired
  • Working knowledge of various high, medium and low voltage systems
  • The capability to conduct on-site surveys to establish and document accurate field conditions

Position:  Project Architects

Education

Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited university - Indiana Registration

Experience

Minimum of 7 years experience as a project architect

Responsibilities

The applicant will be responsible for all phases of multiple projects from client contact and programming through construction administration. He/she will assist in generating fee proposals, cost estimates and project schedules.

  • Direct and take an active role in field investigations required for project development

Position: HVAC Engineer

Education

Responsibilities

Successful applicant must be able to demonstrate the following job skills and responsibilities:

  • Detailed load estimating utilizing computer software simulation.  Includes knowledge of building construction materials, knowledge of meeting outdoor air requirements for indoor air quality, and general understanding of internal heat loads (i.e. lights, computers, equipment, etc.)
  • Application and selection of various types of HVAC equipment including air handling units, fans, coils, condensing units and furnaces.
  • Design and layout of commercial and industrial duct systems including supply, return, exhaust, ventilation and dust collection systems.
  • Application and selection of air terminal devices such as variable air volume boxes, grilles and diffusers and louvers.
  • Design, application, and selection of hydronic systems and steam/condensate systems including chillers, boilers, cooling towers, pumps and associated system accessories.
  • General knowledge of HVAC system controls desirable.  Includes development of general HVAC temperature control diagrams and written sequences of operation.
  • General knowledge of plumbing design would be beneficial but not required.  Would include general knowledge of the plumbing code and specific requirements for sanitary sewer and vent piping design, storm sewer piping design and domestic hot and cold water piping design.
  • Development of construction document packages based on the project requirements and application.  This shall include project coordination with other disciplines (structural, architectural, electrical), directing drafting personnel and checking project construction documents.
  • Writing job specific equipment and materials specifications
  • Attending and conducting client meetings in order to clearly understand job/owner requirements and expectations.  Includes project review meetings, construction meetings and project closeout meetings.
  • Project shop drawing and submittal review.
  • On-site inspections of HVAC system installations.

Position: Structural Engineer

Education

Successful applicant must be able to demonstrate the following job skills and responsibilities:

  • Utilize computer design software for design.  Includes knowledge of building construction materials, general connection types used in construction, brace & moment frame design.
  • The ability to interpret and apply the structural sections of the building code. (i.e. Seismic, wind and snow drift loading)
  • Design and layout of commercial and industrial building systems including foundations.
  • Detailed design of steel, concrete, concrete block and other common structural materials for building projects.
  • Knowledge of construction estimating would be a plus, but not required.
  • Development of construction document packages based on the project requirements and application.  This shall include project coordination with other disciplines (mechanical, architectural, & electrical), directing drafting personnel, and checking project construction documents.
  • Review of job specific material specifications.
