John started working for Three I Engineering in 1984, shortly after graduating from college. He became a principal in 1998 after 14 years of service and was promoted to a senior principal in 2000. John directs all the structural work, performing much of the design work himself, in addition to his management duties.

As head of the structural department, his responsibilities include managing the flow of projects within the department, overall design review of each project, promoting the company, preparing engineering service quotations, and securing new clients and projects.

Working with several contractors on large construction projects in southern Indiana has given John the necessary knowledge required to make good practical decisions. He incorporates his construction knowledge and experience into the development of a structural design which will provide a good working system for the client. The requirements of contractors can also be anticipated to yield cost effective designs.
